Whiskey Business was such a fun and heartwarming grumpy/sunshine romance. The dynamic between the two main characters absolutely carried this story in the best way possible. His constant grumbling, guarded attitude, and emotionally closed-off personality made every moment of her optimism and warmth shine even brighter. She never tried to completely change him — she simply understood him, challenged him, and slowly found cracks in the walls he’d built around himself.

What made their relationship work so well was how balanced they felt together. Her sunshine personality never came across as naïve, and his grumpiness never felt overly cruel. Instead, they complemented each other perfectly. She brought light and laughter into his life, while he gave her steadiness, protection, and someone who genuinely saw her worth. Their banter was sharp, funny, and full of chemistry, but it was the quieter emotional moments that really made the romance stand out.

The small-town atmosphere and whiskey distillery backdrop added so much charm to the story, making it feel cozy while still delivering plenty of tension and romance. Watching him slowly soften for her — often against his own will — was incredibly satisfying. If you love a grumpy hero who falls hard for the one woman capable of warming his heart, this book delivers exactly that kind of swoony payoff.
