Zodiac Academy: The Awakening completely sucked me in from the start. The fantasy world is honestly one of the best parts of the book — elemental magic, star signs, ruthless Fae politics, and a school that feels dangerous in every possible way. The world building was so much fun and made it ridiculously easy to get lost in the story.

But let’s be real… this book is absolutely a bully romance at its core. And not the soft kind. The Heirs genuinely hate Tory and Darcy when they arrive at Zodiac Academy, and they make their lives miserable. The tension is intense, messy, toxic, addictive — all the things bully romance readers usually love. It’s very much enemies-to-lovers with emphasis on the enemies part.

There were definitely moments where the bullying crossed lines and made me want to scream at the characters, but somehow that’s also what made the story impossible to put down. You keep waiting for the power shifts, the emotional cracks, and the moments where hate starts turning into obsession.

The Awakening has that chaotic “just one more chapter” energy the entire time. Between the magic, the drama, the tension, and the constant emotional whiplash, it’s easy to see why so many readers get addicted to this series.
